CLC Visual Identity | Freelance Brand Identity
Ushering in a new era for a thriving Port Orchard community.
The ask
CLC church in Port Orchard, WA was experiencing a surge of liveliness in their community. Their numbers were growing, engagement was increasing, and there was a new kind of tangible energy coursing through the veins of the church. They came to me to create a visual identity that felt like it captured that energy, and celebrated CLC as both a place and a people.

The final logo is inspired by the bold, iconic windows of CLC’s building. It celebrates both the physical space and the idea of community; coming together and building upon one another. Its clean, timeless form offers strong recognizability and room to grow.

The mark naturally extended into a visual system; used as a “window into CLC” providing a glimpse into the church’s values and personality.

A flexible type system was chosen to support a range of expressions. The vibrant blue palette nods to CLC’s identity as a port-town church.

I built examples of how the new brand could work in real-world applications—demonstrating how its elements scale and come together.

The result is a vibrant, cohesive identity with flexibility across digital and physical assets.

CLC’s new brand has helped usher in a new era of growth, and will hopefully serve as the face of their church for years to come.
